Search Engine
Optimization
Targeting Your Locksmith Service Area
Here's some very important advice,
straight from Matt Cutts—Principal Engineer at Google
Our
methodology - Why it works
Our locksmith website program uses
multiple domains (websites) to maximize your exposure on the
Internet. We build entire websites devoted to each and every city or
town you serve so many websites will work
for you simultaneously.
For example, let say
your locksmith business is located in town 1 (pictured right) with a
corresponding mailing address and zip code in that town. Most search
engines are smart enough to understand that you are a locksmith
serving that area simply because they pull data from outside sources
such as telephone book directories and other sources, to formulate
their "Local Search Results" and maps.
But in real life, you
actually serve a total of 16 towns as pictured—all with different
names and zip codes. What happens when a consumer uses a search term
that corresponds to one of the other towns you serve? Will your
business be listed in the "Organic Search" results? Will it be
listed in the "Local Search Results" and pinpointed on the maps the
search engines display? What data do the search
engines use to list your business for the consumer's search phrase?
Our multiple website method of building locksmith websites gives the
search engines the data they need to not only index your websites,
but display your web pages high in the organic search for any number
of search terms the consumer may use in your area.
Using our methodology in the scenario above, the local locksmith in
town 1 would own 16 websites in total with 4 to 7 web pages in each
site—targeting 16 town names and the keyword locksmith. Some 64 to
112 web pages in total would be working, 7 days a week, 24 hours per
day, targeting the 16 towns this locksmith serves.
See Standard 4 page package and Enhanced 7
page package.
In turn, each of the 16 sites would
contain 15 outbound links, pointing to each of the other websites
(towns), creating a total of 240 inbound links in total for the
local locksmith servicing this area and the search engines to read,
follow, and calculate for determining placement in the organic
search results.
Additionally, each of the
16 sites would be fully optimized for each town independently using
the latest SEO techniques including, and not limited to:
Customized headers with image tags
and file names corresponding to the town name
Customized text and font tags
corresponding to the town name
Customized images and file names
corresponding to the town name
Customized maps with latitude &
longitude corresponding to the town name
Customized title, description and
keyword tags corresponding to the town name
Customized screen tips (text during
mouse-over) corresponding to the town name
Most importantly, our
website design helps to answer customer questions while our SEO
techniques help to let the search engines understand that your
website is the best place for answer to those questions.
